COST
The cost is $10 for the Standard tournament plus $7 for Blitz and $5 for Bughouse tournament.
DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Standard G/40 Tourney
Scholastic and Junior section depending on entries This tourney is a standard tournament with no elimination. Everyone will play 4 games unless a bye is requested or required.

Blitz G/5       1 Section open to parents!
The Blitz Tourney will be run similar to the FIDE Knockout tourney. It will be an elimination tournament. Players will play both colors and the highest scoring person will advance. In case of a tie one player will choose his color with white having 5 minutes and Black only 4 minutes. Black has draw odds.

Bughouse       1 Section unless interests allows for two sections (16 teams)
All Bughouse teams must be pre-registered due to the complexity of the schedule. Only 8 teams will be allowed per section. The Bughouse tourney will be similar to a FIDE knockout tournament with room for 16 total teams. Each team will play both colors with G/5 time controls In case of a tie colors will be randomly chosen and the winner will advance. The champion team will have the opportunity to test their metal against Alaska's own Rick Everett and Chuck Sherwood!

ACCOMODATIONS
For families outside of the Anchorage area arrangements can be made to stay overnight in the Family Life Center. The cost is $25.00 per family. It's not the Holiday Inn but it may work. Call Don for more information at (907) 339-7141. (This will reimburse custodial expenses for the Family Life Center)
